Welcome!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Chatability. Please feel free to give an intro of yourself on this page & start connecting with others in the community. You are safe here & well supported!

I know I have already pretty much introduced myself in a lengthy way in the "About Us" page, but here's a couple personal things you may not know!

I love to write (and read)! I am very artistic, and love to take photographs, draw, and listen to music. I also play a couple instruments - including the drums, guitar, and piano.

I have two Goldendoodles, Rigby and Remmus, and I love being outside and soaking up the sun.

I hope this makes you feel like you know me a little better, now go ahead and introduce yourself if you are comfortable!

  • Being visually impaired one of my biggest struggles is just not being able to see what everyone else can see (duh), but one of the worse things is when you’re crossing a driveway and a car in pulling out or turning in and I can’t see if they have waved me on or if they are going. It is one of the MOST stressful things and when it happened just the other day it resulted in the car getting frustrated and honking at me which frightened me and I began to cry.
  • Good morning! So as I mentioned in my last post here in Growing Space, I had an advice column once... which turned into an opinion column (almost half a year ago now)! This week for #TessaTakesCharge I wrote a column about finding and/or keeping momentum in both personal and professional aspects. If you'd like to check it out, I encourage you; here is the link: https://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/opinion-story/8804039-peterborough-advice-embracing-momentum-to-keep-life-under-control/ My hope, as always, is that at least some of my words resonate with my readers. I hope you enjoy, and have a day my friends!
  • I just thought, since this community is for you, but also for me, that it might interest some of you to know I am going in for a major eye surgery on July 13 (this Friday), to try and correct the congenital nystagmus in my left, and only eye. For those of you who don't know, congenital nystagmus (also known as wavering eye) is the painfully rapid shaking of the eye, and causes really bad headaches, dizziness, and disorientation. This has been affecting my life severely for the last ten months and causing me severe pain, I can't even look straight forward without pain and shaking. For once in my life, I'm actually very nervous about a surgery because there is a chance I could go blind, but I know I have to go through with it because it has gotten to be unbearable. Anyways, perhaps a bit of a rant, but mostly, I like to think: an update. I also wanted to write this to let any of my members know that I may be on ghost mode for a little bit after the surgery as my eye is going to be incredibly sensitive, so I may not be on Chatability's resources as much to help mediate and be of assistance. I will do my best to recover quickly and return to you all here very soon. Wishing you all the best in your current endeavors, T
